Open Your Eyes to Better Eye Care This Spring

Optical Shop Pontiac and Clarkston, MIIt’s no secret that your eyes are one of the first things people notice when you first meet them. Which means that if you are trying to make a good impression on just about anyone, you need to make sure that you’re taking good care of your vision. But how? We at Wilkinson Eye Center have created a few easy tips to ensure that your eyes stay healthy all spring long. Let’s take a closer look.

Get An Eye Exam

Can you even remember the last time you got an eye exam? Whether you think you need glasses or not, it’s important to schedule an eye exam to not only ensure that you can see well but also that your eyes are in good shape overall. Plus, you may be surprised to learn that with a little bit of help from glasses, you can see a lot better than you even knew you could.

Wear Sunglasses

Wearing sunglasses when you’re in the car, outside, or even sitting next to a bright window, can protect them from permanent sun damage. When choosing sunglasses, make sure you choose some that have both UVA and UVB protection— that way you really know that your eyes are protected.

Keep Them Moisturized

With so much pollen and allergens in the air, it can be easy to get dry, irritated eyes during the springtime. To help keep your eyes comfortable and moisturized, try using an over-the-counter lubricating eye drop a few times a day. The extra tears will go a long way in making you feel extra comfortable.

Taking good care of your eyes doesn’t have to be difficult— especially with these three easy tips. Are you ready to learn more about how you can take better care of your vision? Schedule an appointment at our Pontiac office: (248) 334-4931.
